- Information regarding the ongoing field work and updating the maps. Don Clawson is working on completing Maps 113 and 114 he will begin working on building permits to determine new growth for the town. Expects to submit the LA4 and LA13 for approval by the beginning of October.
- Work on the new tax rate. Discussion about the information that the new town accountant will have to supply to the Assessors for his part of the process of setting the new tax rate. Stan Ross and Don Clawson have an appointment on Monday, September 16th with the new accountant to begin these discussions. Currently 2.3 million dollars of new growth has been recorded. New growth is a very important part of the process of setting the new tax rate. The Department of Revenue looks very closely at the rate of growth in a town.
- Old and new business. On October 17th the Principal Assessor will be at a work shop learning about the new property measuring devices. These devices are accurate to within a fraction of an inch.
- The question was asked about when the next year’s budget information will be submitted to the departments. Stan Ross says not until sometime in December. Board members will begin working on their budget at that time.
- We have received our current copy of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. This publication is the standard of all work done by the Assessors Office.
